project
submission
Deadline: 30 April 2008
how to submit
Students will be expected to upload their project entries via a link, which will be provided on the
confirmation email that will be sent on registration.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, completed projects will only be accepted via the internet.
important
Please carefully read the instructions below before submitting your project.
Incomplete entries could be disqualified.
preparing your project for submission
Students should not sign their work or identify their school or college anywhere in their
projects. The entry process will automatically generate an ID number that will be used in all communication and
which will be attached to all work submitted. This unique ID number is given to ensure judging impartiality.
Projects must meet one of the briefs outlined to satisfy the entry requirements
for each of the award categories.
Remember, presentation counts - entries that are presented professionally will have
a clear advantage:
- Background information should be typewritten
- Sketches should be clearly identified and explained.
Judging will take in to account your explanation and visual presentation of
your design process and your defence of your design solution.
submission requirements
required format
Each entry must be submitted as a single
A4 high-resolution PDF file. Aim to present the project over approximately four pages in the single PDF file.
Please note that the A4 PDFs may be enlarged and read/interpreted as A3s.
Also, all entries must be accompanied by a separate word document containing a written explanation. This must provide a context for the design, describe the project in detail and explain the technologies involved.
Additional animations may be submitted in the QuickTime video format. Please note that the maximum size of a video is restricted to 150MB per file.
Please note that the organisers may choose FOUR PAGES of your artwork for display purposes. If you send in more than this, there is no guarantee that these will be displayed during the Awards ceremony.
